1. Introduction
At DriveSafe Warranty Ltd, we understand that circumstances can change. This policy explains your rights and the process for cancelling your vehicle warranty.
DriveSafe Warranty Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales, incorporated on 22 November 2025.

DriveSafe Warranty Ltd is not a regulated insurance provider. All warranty plans we offer are discretionary in nature and are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
If you choose to fund your warranty through a finance provider, we may act as an appointed representative or introduce you to a regulated finance provider. We do not receive a commission for introductions.
2. Cooling-Off Period
14-Day Cooling-Off Period
You have the right to cancel your warranty within 14 days of purchase, without giving any reason. The 14-day cooling-off period begins on the day you place your order (the purchase date shown on your order confirmation), regardless of when your documents are issued or what date you chose for your cover to start.
Full Refund Conditions
You are entitled to a full refund during the cooling-off period provided that:
- No repairs have been made or are pending
- No services have been used under the warranty
- The warranty has not been activated for a repair
3. Cancellation After the Cooling-Off Period
Monthly Payment Plans
If you are paying monthly through a finance provider such as Bumper, GoCardless, or Payment Assist Ltd, you can only cancel your finance agreement during the 14-day cooling-off period.
To cancel outside this period, you must pay the outstanding balance of the invoice in full. Contact your finance provider directly:

If your monthly payment agreement was arranged remotely (phone or online), you also have a statutory right of cancellation under The Financial Services (Distance Marketing) Regulations 2004, which must be exercised within 14 days of receiving your agreement.
Required information when contacting your finance provider:
- Full name
- Address
- Confirmation that you wish to cancel
Please note: Cancelling your warranty with DriveSafe Warranty does not automatically cancel your finance agreement. Any refunds will be coordinated with your finance provider.
Annual Payment Plans
We do not normally offer refunds after the 14-day cooling-off period. If an exception is granted at our discretion, refunds will be calculated as follows:
- Pro-rata refund based on remaining full months
- £50 administration fee deducted
- Any repairs paid or pending deducted
- Minimum of 25% of the premium will be retained

- Your warranty number
- Vehicle registration
- (Optional) Reason for cancellation
5. Cancellation by DriveSafe Warranty
We reserve the right to cancel your warranty under any of the following circumstances:
- Failure to make premium payments
- Providing false or misleading information
- Breach of warranty terms and conditions
- Vehicle no longer meets eligibility criteria
- Fraud is suspected or confirmed
6. Refund Process
Refund Timeline:
- Cooling-off period cancellations: Within 14 days of your cancellation request
- Other cancellations: Within 30 days of approval
Refund Method:
Refunds will be made using the same method as your original payment. If you financed the warranty, refunds will follow your finance provider’s process.
7. Non-Refundable Circumstances
No refund will be issued if:
- A repair has been paid that exceeds the refundable amount
- The warranty has been cancelled due to fraud
- The vehicle has been written off or stolen
- You have breached the terms of the warranty
8. Transfer Instead of Cancellation
If you replace your vehicle, you may be able to transfer your warranty to the replacement vehicle, subject to:
- Our approval
- The replacement vehicle meeting eligibility criteria
- Payment of any applicable transfer fee
The warranty cannot be transferred to a new owner if you sell your vehicle. Selling your vehicle, no longer owning a vehicle, or choosing not to drive are not valid reasons for cancellation outside statutory rights.
